Exp 3 - Final Model

 Overview of the Building and the Function introduction of each part.

 The colors on the surface are red and wathet blue in general, which demonstrate the unrestrained and elegant in the same time that highlighted the distinctive of the building.

 The shape of the model can be seen as a triangle. It connect with other buildings skillfully with its projecting computer labs. Moreover, the middle offer extra spaces for students to move and relax while it also accesses to the lower gallery. Therefore, it performs a good circulation in the  ground level.

Now, moving to some  rooms function introduction and showing

Computer Labs: 

There are two computer labs constitute one corner of  whole building. It not only form a stabilize structure with its building, but also connect other faculty flexibly.

Gallery:

It located in the lowest part of the building, which connect to the outside environment directly.

Library

Meeting spaces:

The meeting spaces is composed with two parts, one is just a room below the workshop rooms, the other is a open space decorated with some flowers and pool.

  Before designing the school, I have read three articles about how to build a unique and distinctive architecture.  It taught me I need to have a clear purpose before designing. So firstly, I choose vitra fire station plan as my section, which I think it can be designed into many room as well as can offer a good connection within the UNSW Campus.

  Secondly, I started thinking about how to make my building integrate into the UNSW environment. I designed my building with many open spaces, which not only can promote a particularly sense of layering, but provide a good view of other faculty. What is more, it brings the nature into the building.

  Thirdly, I used exaggerated red colour as the main colour to improve the distinctive of the building. Some light blue colour insert into some corner to give an extra feeling. Moreover, the overall building using plenty of materials, which highlight the appearance of the model.

EXP2 - The Marker in Lumion picture

When I designing this building, I using the most simple shape - square to express the concepts. However, I add textures and plenty of different color and shape of window to make it look complexity to express the distinctive of the marker.
There have a movement and rhythm between each of the cube and connect each together with some steps. Inside the cube, the up and down of each cube can exactly see the different direction of the whole Blacktown International Sports Park. The marker is mainly construct with four cube which I think can be used in all kinds of functions which demonstrate the significant of the Marker.

Here is some inspiration where I learn the color utilization and the structure arrangement.

These are some design come from a female designer Emmanuelle Moureaux who is full of enthusiasm about the using of the color. She often utilize the color to express the powerful of the building.
